Francis Ngannou claimed the UFC heavyweight championship at UFC 260 over the weekend and there were immediate questions about his next opponent.
Will Derrick Lewis get the title shot? Many think that makes the most sense for the division, but there is also former light heavyweight champion Jon Jones who provides an intriguing, big money option.
With the possibility of a Jones bout looming, the oddsmakers have handicapped the match and shared opening betting odds for the potential bout.
According to Sportsbetting.ag, Ngannou opens at -190 with Jones at +165.
For those unfamiliar with how the moneyline works, Ngannou at -190 means you would have to wager $190 on the heavyweight champ in order to get a $100 return.
On the flip side, a $100 bet on Jones would return $165.
Whether a bout between the two comes to fruition remains to be seen, but there would certainly be plenty of money on the line with pay-per-view buys thanks to the intrigue for even the most casual mixed martial arts fan.
Who do you think will come out on top if Ngannou and Jones go head-to-head inside of the Octagon? Sound off in the comments section below with your thoughts and predictions.
