Sergio Garcia gave us an epic moment to cap off a wild day at the WGC-Dell Match Play at Austin Country Club.
Garcia and Lee Westwood went to sudden death on the fourth playoff hole when Garcia hit a brilliant walk-off hole-in-one to advance and oust Westwood from the tournament.
“I really don’t know what to say. Obviously, yeah, a hole-in-one is amazing. Lucky No. 13 for me. But you know, the two putts I made on 2 and 3, massive, to keep myself going,” Garcia said, via Golfweek. “And then obviously the shot on 4, it’s a great shot, but then you get lucky that first of all it doesn’t hit the flag because it must have been very close to hitting the flag, and then it rolls back in.
“Obviously, I’m very happy about that. I’m sorry for Lee because I did a couple stupid things to him this week, the first day and today, but unfortunately one of us had to lose.”

It doesn’t get any better than that.
Garcia, who is the No. 39 seed, will return to the course on Saturday where he will take on No. 48 seed Mackenzie Hughes in the Round of 16.
