If you’re a fan of Elon Musk, Tesla, and Bitcoin, you received some great news overnight.
As he is known to do, Musk took to social media in the middle of the night to make an announcement about his company. The Tesla CEO, who has long been a fan of cryptocurrency, announced you can now purchase Tesla with Bitcoin.
Last month, Tesla announced it had purchased $1.5 million of the cryptocurrency.
“You can now buy a Tesla with Bitcoin,” Musk tweeted. “Tesla is using only internal and open-source software and operates Bitcoin nodes directly.
“Bitcoin paid to Tesla will be retained as Bitcoin, not converted to fiat currency.”

The Tesla website now has Bitcoin Terms and Conditions.
“To make a payment in Bitcoin, you need a digital wallet that supports transfers of Bitcoin to external digital wallets, compatible hardware and Internet access,” the conditions state.
“If you decide to make an eligible purchase with Bitcoin, you must select Bitcoin as the payment method for your purchase when we prompt you to select a payment method. We will provide to you a digital wallet address (“Bitcoin Address”) in both alphanumeric and QR code form. This is the payment address location to which you will need to send Bitcoin from your digital wallet.”
