Featherweight champion Alexander Volkanovski vs. Brian Ortega, one of the two championship bouts scheduled for next weekend’s UFC 260 pay-per-view, has been pulled from the card.
According to an update during the ESPN broadcast for UFC Vegas 22, the bout will be rescheduled for a later date and was pulled from the card after Volkanovski was forced to undergo COVID-19 protocols.
There is no timeline for when the bout will be rescheduled.

UFC 260 is set to take place on Saturday, March 27 at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada. In the main event, Stipe Miocic will defend his heavyweight championship against the heavy-handed Francis Ngannou. Miocic previously defeated Ngannou in 2018, but the challenger has since hauled off four consecutive first-round knockout wins including victories over former champs Cain Velasquez and Junior dos Santos.
There is no word on which bout will be designated as the new co-main event and which preliminary bout will be bumped to the pay-per-view main card.
