Edmonton Oilers forward Jujhar Khaira was on the receiving end of a violent punch on Monday night that ended his night early.

Khaira delivered a check to the head of Calgary Flames player Oliver Kylington.

After the hit, Khaira was a marked man and hunted down on the ice by Calgary forward Brett Ritchie and the two men began throwing hands.

Khaira took a right hand directly on the jaw before being knocked unconscious and taken to the locker room for evaluation.

The good news is Edmonton coach Dave Tippett said Khaira was “day-to-day” with symptoms from the hit but that he is “feeling all right,” according to TMZ Sports.
