Who is ready for another stimmy?
On Wednesday, the White House announced that President Joe Biden is expected to sign the COVID-19 relief bill on Friday. The bill includes the highly-anticipated $1,400 stimulus checks for most Americans.
“With today’s expected passage of the rescue plan, I can announce that the president will sign the bill at the White House on Friday afternoon,” White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki announced during her daily press briefing.
Biden's signature won't be on the next round of stimulus checks. “This is not about him,” Press Secretary Jen Psaki said. “It’s about the American people getting relief.”

Individual taxpayers who make less than $75,000 are eligible for the $1,400 checks. Smaller amounts will be issued to taxpayers who earn more than $80,000 a year.
An extra $1,400 check is awarded for each dependent child. Parents also gain a new annual tax credit of $3,000-$3,600 per child in the bill, up from $2,000 per child currently.
The bill also extends a $300 weekly unemployment supplement through September 6.
As for when the stimulus checks will be sent out, an exact date was not announced. However, there is hope that checks should be in the mail by the end of the month.
