Wow. That is the only way to describe Derrick Lewis’s win in the main event of UFC Vegas 19 on Saturday night at the UFC Apex.
In the second round, Lewis, who had managed to keep Curtis Blaydes from taking him down, showed off his one-punch power with a devastating uppercut that immediately sent an unconscious Blaydes crashing to the mat.
Blaydes shot for a takedown, but a perfectly timed shot from Lewis crumbled him to the canvas. Lewis followed up with two heavy shots before referee Herb Dean could rush in to stop the fight.
