Former Bellator and One Championship welterweight champion Ben Askren is ramping up his training for an April 17 boxing match against YouTuber Jake Paul.

The bout will be an eight-round exhibition match, and in preparation for his fight against the YouTuber, Askren is getting creative.

Askren took to social media on Monday, February 1 to show off his newest piece of equipment in the gym.

The former champ was gifted a custom-made heavy bag featuring a photo of Jake Paul’s battered face — a photo from an earlier Paul boxing match where he suffered a cut across the news.

“This is glorious,” Askren said. “I’m going to hang this up in the academy and the kids are going to go nuts.”

Paul, meanwhile, is doing part of his training in Florida with UFC star Jorge Masvidal, who nearly decapitated Askren with a flying knee in the now-viral knockout.

In his last appearance inside of the ring, Paul viciously knocked out former NBA Slam Dunk Contest winner Nate Robinson on the Mike Tyson-Roy Jones Jr. pay-per-view.

We’ll have to see if he can find the same success against a real fighter.
