Disney+ established itself as a real force in the streaming industry and that was further proved by the latest data that came in from 2020.

According to a report from Variety, the Disney+ series “The Mandalorian” moved up from the No. 3 spot in 2019 to the top spot on the list of most-pirated television programs of the year based on torrent streams and downloads.

The spot had previously been dominated by HBO’s “Game of Thrones.

From the report:

While a strong indicator of digital download trends, the TorrentFreak survey is not necessarily a conclusive method of tracking piracy as the number of torrent downloads does not account for views via illegal streaming services.

Rounding out the top five was Amazon’s “The Boys,” HBO’s “Westworld,” Amazon’s “Vikings” and CBS’s “Star Trek: Picard.”

Other popular television series’ like “Rick and Morty,” The Walking Dead,” “The Outsider,” “Arrow” and “The Flash” also checked in high on the list.
