A Chicago man has been charged with killing a family member all because of Thanksgiving food.

According to a report from the Chicago Sun-Times, James Dixon fatally stabbed 52-year-old Vincell Jackson after the two got into a fight over Thanksgiving leftovers. After “much drinking,” Jackson reportedly called out Dixon for eating with his hands which led to the two getting involved in a scuffle.

Jackson was stabbed nine times, sustaining wounds to his forehead, nose, hand, leg, and arms.

That is not the holiday spirit we like to encourage.

Dixon has been charged with first-degree murder and his bond is set for $350,000.
