The Duke basketball program has canceled its season opener.
On Monday, the Blue Devils announced that a member of the Gardner-Webb program has tested positivie for COVID-19.
As a result, Duke has decided not to move forward with the game.
“Our game Wednesday night vs. Gardner-Webb has been postponed following a positive COVID-19 test within the Gardner-Webb program,” the program said in a statement.
“Our season opener is now scheduled for this Saturday vs. Coppin State in Cameron (2 PM ET, ACC Network Extra).”

Duke will now open the season on Nov. 28, against Coppin State.
