Everyone knew it was coming, and Megan Thee Stallion wasted no time.
In the opening track of her debut album Good News — titled “Shots Fired” — the Houston rapper addressed the now infamous shooting involving Tory Lanez which forced her to undergo surgery on her foot.
Megan Thee Stallion took shots directly at Lanez for his handling of the situation.
“You shot a 5’10” b*tch, with a .22/Talkin’ ’bout bones and tendons like them bullets weren’t pellets,” Megan fired off. “A p*ssy n*gga with a p*ssy gun in his feelings/Okay, he in the backseat and he keep callin’ me a b*tch (He a b*tch)/We all know this sh*t, I coulda came back with (Lil’ ass n*gga).
“He talkin’ ’bout his followers, dollars and goofy sh*t/I told him, “You’re not poppin’, you just on a remix” (What’s poppin’?)/Now here we are, 2020, eight months later/And you still ain’t got no f*ckin’ justice for Breonna Taylor (Breonna Taylor).”
The diss was recorded over Notorious B.I.G.’s beat for the track “Who Shot Ya.”
Lanez has since been charged with felony assault in relation to the incident, but he has pleaded not guilty.
