Stephen “Wonderboy” Thompson was undefeated through 37 amateur and 20 professional kickboxing matches and is a 5th-degree black belt in Tetsushin-ryu Kempo and black belt in American kickboxing.
He is one of the best strikers in the UFC and has some of the flashiest and most impressive kicks you will see inside of the Octagon.
One would think that you would immediately know it is a bad idea to be on the receiving end of a “Wonderboy” kick, but bodybuilder Houston Jones decided to take a chance anyway.
Video surfaced of the exchange between the two with Thompson claiming he was never putting anything more than 45 percent power behind his kicks.
Even without a full effort, it didn’t take long for Jones to have enough and collapse to the ground in pain. What else did he expect?

Let this be a reminder that you should never try to be tougher than a professional fighter.
Thompson is 15-4-1 in his UFC career and is set to return to action against Geoff Neal in December. His most recent outing was a decision victory over Vicente Luque which earned a $50,000 fight night bonus.
While we wait for Thompson’s return to the cage, you can watch the full video from his meeting with Jones below.
