What a week it has been for women fighting at sporting events. Add this cheerleader fight between East St. Louis and Trinity Catholic to what went down in Alabama between Texas Southern and Alabama State and this isn’t your grandma’s sports world. These ladies aren’t playing games if you know what I’m saying.
From the Belleville News-Democrat:
East St. Louis School District 189 Superintendent Arthur Culver has banned the East St. Louis High School cheerleading team from performing for the rest of the school year after members of the team fought with members of the Trinity Catholic High School cheerleading team.
The fight occurred on the Alton High School basketball court on Saturday and a video of the fight has been posted on social media. The two cheerleading squads were facing each other as they performed dueling routines at the center of the basketball court before the fight broke out.
Seeing a lot of brawls between women at sporting events lately….
