The Seattle Seahawks and Los Angeles Rams will meet Sunday night in Los Angeles at the Coliseum in a critical game for both teams in the chase to win the NFC West and get into the 2020 NFL playoffs. For the Seahawks (10-2) a win in this game would keep them on pace with the San Francisco 49ers (10-2) to win the division and likely gain a bye into the second weekend of the playoffs. A win by the Rams (7-5) would keep their slim NFC West title hopes alive and more importantly put them into a better spot to make the playoffs, especially with both teams ahead of them having a three-game lead in the division.
In a surprising move, even though the Seahawks won Monday night, ESPN dropped them four spots in its power ratings to No. 5
NFL betting with 888 currently has the line at Rams -.5 and the Over/Under at 47.5. The 1/2 point line is pretty shocking considering the Seahawks have a five-game winning streak, but they are coming off an emotional win Monday against the Vikings. The total has gone OVER in this matchup the last four meetings. Maybe the most telling nugget for this one is during the Jared Goff era, the Rams are 0-3 SU and 0-2-1 ATS when home dogs of 3 or fewer points.
Seahawks-Rams keys to the game:
• Which Jared Goff shows up? Do the Rams get the Goff who passed for 424 yards on the Cardinals and completed 74% of his passes or does the November Goff — 5 interceptions, no touchdown passes — show up?
• Can Chris Carson hold onto the ball? He’s fumbled seven times this season and had trouble on a handoff from Russell Wilson against the Vikings.
• The Rams defense needs a defining game, especially after getting blown out at home by the Ravens two weeks agohttps://bleacherreport.com/articles/2864264-lamar-jacksons-5-tds-lead-ravens-to-blow-out-vs-struggling-jared-goff-rams. They’ll get another mobile quarterback who is accurate. Is this the end of the season for this defense or can they dial up one of those dominant games against a top-level team we all expected them to have at the beginning of the season?
