Bill Belichick took time out of moving on to the Baltimore Ravens next Sunday night at 8:20 on Sunday Night Football in America to celebrate his 300th NFL win with girlfriend Linda Holliday after beating up on the hopeless Cleveland Browns 27-13 in one of the more embarrassing losses a team has suffered at the hands of Hoodie. I’ve said it for the last year or so, Bill sure has softened up in the middle of the season thanks to Linda. Think back like 10 years ago. Bill wouldn’t be smiling after a milestone win in October. He would have his balls deep into a film sesh and trading guys for 7th round picks this time of year. Remember, you can never have enough 7ths in Bill’s world.
New England’s 27-13 victory over Cleveland marked Belichick’s 300th career win as a head coach, including postseason play.
“It’s a great privilege to coach this team and to coach the guys that I’ve coached throughout my career. Fortunately I didn’t play in those games. That’s a good thing for us,” Belichick told reporters after the win. “But I’ve had a lot of good players, a lot of great players, and they’re the ones who win the games.”
Already in rarefied air, Belichick became just the third coach in NFL history to win at least 300 games, joining Hall of Fame skippers Don Shula (347) and George Halas (324). Soon enough, the Hoodie will be joining his victorious compatriots in Canton.
This is where I remind you that smiling face hasn’t won fewer than 10 games in a season since 2002:
Don’t forget that Bill celebrated 299 by telling his team that the Browns already practiced for them and they needed to get to work immediately to beat Cleveland:

And then Baker and the Browns came out and had a game for the ages against Bill:
