Jalen Hurts has brought the ‘rat poison’ culture Nick Saban’s famous for to his new team in Oklahoma after the Sooners football account tried to puff out its chest about having college football’s top offense. “Rat poison,” Hurts responded to the Instagram post proclaiming how great the Sooners are.
You might remember Nick Saban’s famous ‘rat poison’ line from back in 2017 when the media tried to say how great the Tide were playing. “All that stuff you write about how good we are, and all that stuff they hear on ESPN, it’s like poison, it’s like taking poison,” Saban said after beating Texas A&M. “Like rat poison,” Saban added.
Credit Jalen Hurts for knowing exactly when to use the rat poison line because the best team they’ve beaten is Houston and Houston just lost to Tulane Thursday night. Don’t be shocked if the Sooners Instagram intern gets the message immediately and starts posting graphics saying how horrible the Sooners play on 3rd down or something real Saban-esque or Belichickian.
Lesson here: a QB can leave Bama, but the Saban is hard to get out of him.
Jalen Hurts is not here for it … not even from his own team’s account. #Sooners pic.twitter.com/HGYUGwPdOv
