Buy Bobby Clarke’s Former New Jersey House With Flyers Logo Pool

The big news out of Philadelphia this weekend is that Bobby Clarke’s old New Jersey house with a Flyers logo pool and a crazy resort-like backyard is for sale at the low low price of $1,400,000. The house, built in 1970, appears to have been bought by Clarke in the mid-1970s when living in Mount Ephraim became a little bit too much because the Flyers were winning Stanley Cups and things got wild outside his house, according to Bobby in a 2010 feature story.

In that same story Bobby says the Flyers logo pool house eventually became too private and it was time to live amongst people so the family moved. One thing remained from the house — the Flyers logo pool.

From the seller:

Look no further! You can say, I too live at the former, famous player of the Philadelphia Flyers. Over 5000 sq foot custom home. This home has it all. Tennis courts, in ground pool with cabana, upper level balcony, renovated gourmet kitchen with 2 DISHWASHERS and stainless high end appliances, 5 gas fireplaces, walk-in closets with organizers, heated towel racks, toilet seats, and floors upstairs, wet bar in the living room, dual stone gas fireplace in the living and family rooms.

Master bedroom suite has everything you could want: sitting area with gas fireplace, ceiling fan, built-in shelving, sliding doors to the upstairs balcony, dressing area, Steam Shower, skylights, 2 HUGE organized walk-in closets with cabinets, TV on recessing stand, recessed lighting, and master bathroom with walk in shower, double vanity with granite and heated floor. 6 Zone heat/ac and the list goes on and on. You must see this home to appreciate it.

I’ve seen a few houses over the years doing these posts and this is one of those houses that stands out. It looks like someone took a golf country club and turned it into a residence. Look at that yard. Look at that outdoor space. I can see why Bobby would say it’s too secluded, but I can also see why someone would buy it, throw raging parties and live a fun life.

Even though Bobby doesn’t own the house now, it’s easy to picture the mid-70s happening in that house. Doesn’t look like much has been changed over the years.

Mortgage: You’re looking at about $9,200 a month before you start paying for a grounds crew, pool team, leaf blowers, etc.
