Remember When Jay Williams Was For Tripping Before He Was Against It?

So there was an incident in last night’s game where a Syracuse player stuck out a foot and tried to trip Zion Williamson after a bucket and that sent Dookie Jay Williams into a triggered frenzied mess during halftime of the Syracuse-Duke game. Of course he was all angered over this vicious attempt to ruin college basketball and possibly hurt one of the greatest to ever lace ’em up for Duke.

Jay told TMZ in 2017 — on video — that Grayson Allen should keep tripping and play the villain role. Ooops. Not outraged in 2017. Outraged in 2019. I’m going to need Jay to figure out once and for all how he feels here.

Here’s a clip of @RealJayWilliams from tonight about Frank Howard tripping Zion & @RealJayWilliams in 2017 about Grayson Allen tripping players.

And then Jay kept going in a personalized video for his Twitter in case you didn’t see his halftime rant:

Here’s what Jay said on Twitter in 2017:

I said that I adamantly disagree with Coach K on this. But if he didn't suspend him longer then the ACC should've of done mandatory 3 gms. https://t.co/L1pD1Fi5mx

By March he was advising Grayson to embrace the villain role:
