Plot Twist: “Murder On My Mind” Rapper YNW Melly Charged With Two Murders

I’m not gonna lie, I am 22 years old and that still makes me too old to have ever heard of this guy before this story, but it’s still one of the craziest stories of the year so far. This rapper YNW Melly was just charged with the murder of his two best friends. He is the artist behind this song, Murder on My Mind:

Pretty damning evidence if you ask me.

So these guys that were supposedly Melly’s two best friends were found dead in an apparent drive-by shooting a few months ago. At the time Melly tweeted this post about their deaths:

He was clearly very broken up about the death of his “slimes.” (I can say that word, right?) I’m sure people felt awful for Melly at the time. Losing your two best friends at such a young age is just horrific. But in a shocking turn of events when he said “they” took my brothers from me, he was referring to himself.

He covered up the murders to make it look live a driveby. As of now, we don’t know why Melly decided to kill his two best friends, but this guy clearly has some anger issues.

This is one of those situations where maybe we should start looking at people’s song lyrics a little more seriously. Like why has nobody done anything legally about Phil Collins yet? If he saw a guy watch someone drown and not do anything about it, doesn’t that mean Phil Collins also saw the guy drowning?? He really damned himself with those lyrics. Conviction coming soon I would hope. We have a whole heap of Eminem research to do for sure. Why has Carrie Underwood not been charged with anything for destroying her ex-boyfriend’s car?? All I’m saying is if YNW Melly has taught us anything, it’s that we should take every song lyric completely and 100% literally.

P.S. Here are some bonus funny tweets about an honestly not that funny situation
