What a night for Alshon Jeffery and the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday Night Football. Not only did Jeffery have an eight-catch, 160 yard night, but he also wiped out heading into the Eagles locker room after Philly beat the Rams 30-23 to stay alive in the wild card chase while the Rams now open it to the Saints to lock down home field throughout.
Our old friend Phil Cufaro was watching NBC Sports Philadelphia when Jeffery was heading to the locker room and went down, but everything is fine. The Eagles have been crushed this season by injuries, but not this time.
Even though he didn’t have a touchdown pass, Big Dick Nick Foles seems to have found his go-to down the stretch.
From Jeff McLane of the Philadelphia Inquirer:
In his first four games, after he missed the first three following shoulder surgery, Jeffery was targeted ten times on passes that traveled 20 yards or longer. He caught three for 73 yards and a touchdown. But over the next five games, Wentz hardly ever went to Jeffery downfield. He saw only three deep targets and didn’t catch one.
Jeffery’s numbers, overall, reflected the disparity. In the first four games, he caught 25 of 39 attempts for 306 yards and four touchdowns. In the next five, he caught 24 of 35 for 236 yards and one score.
Up next: a home game against the Texans that is going to be wild and then a road game that will be more less a home game if Big Dick can beat the Texans and make it all count in Week 17.

How big was Alshon Jeffery’s night?
Nick Foles' 50-yard pass to Alshon Jeffery traveled 48 air yards, his most air yards on a pass attempt since 2016.

Need more Jeffery stats?
Alshon Jeffery hadn't see many passes over 20 yards the last month or so, but he already has two 20-plus catches tonight. #Eagles
