You’ve heard of a speakeasy…now you ready for a meateasy?
Celebrity chef Michael Symon gets ready to debut Mabel’s BBQ right off the Palms casino floor in December, and now the Cleveland-based chef reveals a secret room as part of the restaurant.
…But this location includes Sara’s, what Symon dubs a first-of-its kind “Meateasy.”
Back in June, he told Total Food Service that the secret room with room for 54 diners would feature dishes such as prime rib, Peking duck, grilled lobster, table-sized desserts, and a raw bar, a total of 12 items. “We’re going to be very old school with waiters in suits, doing a lot of table-side preparations like carving the meats and very high-end cocktails.”
Oh great, now when I go to New York the next time for the first time in a long time all I’m going to hear about are all the meateasies (SP?) being opened up. Brooklyn is going to have veganeasies and on and on and on. It’s going to be brutal.
