Iowa State Sings Country Roads After Beating West Virginia & Mountaineers Fans Are Triggered

I warned you guys late last week that something was going to come out of this year’s Riot Bowl — the now annual Iowa State-West Virginia game that pits fans that get blacked out drunk and set things on fire. Something is on fire this morning and it’s the emotions of West Virginia fans who are finding out that Iowa State players showed the biggest disrespect an opposing team can show and that is mocking the West Virginia national anthem, “Country Roads, Take Me Home” by John Denver.

If you ever wanted to see a triggered West Virginia fan, just mock that anthem. It’s officially on after Iowa State’s 30-14 win over the previously unbeaten Mountaineers. Something tells me next year’s game in Morgantown could get real ugly. You think West Virginia fans are going to forget THIS? No f-ing way.

Go ahead and circle next year’s Riot Bowl. I might even make it my father-son football trip of the year because Mountaineers fans will be out for that ass and emotions will be through the roof.

Folks, we are talking about the OFFICIAL STATE SONG!

Almost heaven, West Virginia, Blue Ridge Mountains,
Shenandoah River.
Life is old there, older than the trees,
Younger than the mountains, blowing like a breeze.
Country roads, take me home to the place I belong.
West Virginia, mountain momma, take me home, country roads.
All my memories gather round her, miner’s lady,
Stranger to blue water.
Dark and dusty, painted on the sky, misty taste of moonshine,
Teardrop in my eye.
Country roads, take me home to the place I belong.
West Virginia, mountain momma, take me home, country roads.
