Bama Baseball Player & Former Linebacker For Saban Popped For DUI

Current Alabama baseball player and former 4-year Bama football player Keith Holcombe was arrested this morning for DUI and taken to the Tuscaloosa County Jail, according to media reports. Holcombe could’ve come back for a fifth year and another run for a national title with Saban, but he chose to concentrate on baseball. The good news this morning is that Saban doesn’t have to answer questions about his old linebacker getting popped.

Alabama baseball player Keith Holcombe was arrested Thursday morning in Tuscaloosa. The former Crimson Tide linebacker was booked on DUI charges with a $1,000 secured bond. Further details were not available.

Holcombe decided not to play football in 2018 after four seasons on the team as a reserve linebacker and special teams player.

Saban said in July: “I think he would add a tremendous amount of experience, knowledge and diversity to our defense because he’s very smart if he decided to come back,” Saban said. “But that doesn’t seem to be the case right now.”
