Vladimir Guerrero Jr.'s First Triple-A Home Run Did Not Disappoint

After a few years running the show in the AL East, the Blue Jays are back in purgatory. Jose Bautista is gone, Edwin Encarnacion is gone, Josh Donaldson is washed… and will likely be gone this offseason (or maybe this month), and Marcus Stroman is struggling to carry that chip. Sad times!
But while that era of Blue Jays baseball may be nearing its end, a new exciting chapter will likely begin in 2019 with Vladimir Guerrero Jr. You know, that guy who’s been spotted hitting home runs off hotels — he’s pretty good. A questionable body for sure, but who’s going to argue over someone who has a career .419 on-base percentage in the minors?
Vlad’s son is a monster, and he reminded everyone what’s up Wednesday night by swatting his first home run at the Triple-A level. It took him eight games to do it, but it was worth it:

Vlad Jr. is currently Baseball America’s number one prospect in their updated Top 100. They love him so much they gave him an 80-grade for his hit tool and 70 for power.
