There Are Odds On Urban Meyer’s Fate At Ohio State

How far did Coach hit the ball⁉️

A post shared by The Ohio State Football (@ohiostatefb) on

Ohio State head coach Urban Meyer is in a huge, and I mean huge, mess for possibly being being in the know of a former coach’s abuse allegations for years. Former ESPNer Brett McMurphy broke the story Wednesday, reporting text messages obtained by him indicate Meyer was aware in 2015 of receivers coach Zach Smith’s domestic violence allegations — he denied knowing anything at Big 10 Media Day last week.

Since then, Courtney Smith, ex-wife and victim of Zach Smith’s, has given an interview detailing her account, while Meyer has been placed on paid administrative leave by the school.

Basically things are not looking good for Meyer at Ohio State right now, and if anyone believes the coach will get sacked — or possibly resign — you can put money on it as odds have been released by My Bookie. Urban resigning appears to be the heavy favorite as the situation currently stands:

With the latest news from #OhioState, we've updated our odds. It is now way more likely that @OSUCoachMeyer does not make it to Week 1. #Buckeyes

Before being placed on leave, his possible resigning was one of the better bets:
