It's Johnny Football Time In The CFL
Finally! After seven weeks everyone is getting what they want from the CFL: Johnny Manziel behind center.

The Montreal Alouettes announced Johnny Football is getting his first start Friday against the Hamilton Tiger-Cats — the team that traded him for a crazy package that included two players and two future first round picks.

For those who don’t keep tabs on the CFL, the Alouettes are terrible. They are 1-5 on the season and have scored 92 points combined in those games. They’ve also trotted out four quarterbacks due to injuries suffered by Drew Willy and Jeff Matthews.
Former Oregon quarterback Vernon Adams got a shot last week and completed 15 passes for 217 yards and an interception. The French Canadians cheering for Johnny probably didn’t help matters:

Adams actually went off on Montreal fans postgame for cheering for Manziel — he has since apologized (via La Presse):

“Yes, it hurt me to hear that. I have nothing more to say or to give to the supporters of Montreal. Never again. Their behavior was very disrespectful. It was not like I was playing badly. I do not want them to ask me anything, not even a small piece of equipment, “said Adams in an interview with La Presse yesterday.

Johnny didn’t get a chance to play in the game against Edmonton due to a short week, but Mike Sherman indicated his former recruit will get plenty of PT:
