Just what you wanted Coke to introduce
Coca-Cola thinks it may have found a new drink that will give soda sales a shot of caffeine: Coke Plus Coffee.
The company introduced the canned and bottled product in Australia last year, and has since rolled it out to Vietnam, Cambodia and Thailand. It did not say where it would next introduce the drink, but CEO James Quincey said during a call with analysts Wednesday that “early results are promising.”
The version introduced in Australia has more caffeine than a regular Coke, but less than a cup of coffee, according to the company.
Coke plus coffee? More caffeine than a regular Coke? Add some alcohol and this concoction would be LIT AF on the college IG accounts. Coke Loko. I’ll tell you where they need this stuff: Cedar Point. I’ve never seen people drink so much Coke than at Cedar Point. The amusement park sells these all-you-can-drink $15 bottles that you refill whenever you want at self-serve stations. People carry those things around like they’re going to die from dehydration, but they’re drinking Coke just loaded with sugar. It’s fascinating to watch.
