Innocent Until Proven Guilty: Prove Sara Mailed That Meth

Now does it really look like Sara Russell is the kind of woman who would try to send meth through the mail & into a Texas jail? That’s exactly why I started the Innocent Until Proven Guilty project a few months ago. We have to remember that social media can try to bury people for a crime, but not here at Busted. We preach IUPG.
Did I mention the fuzz claims she tried to mail the meth to a convicted double murderer serving life? Don’t care…IUPG!.
From KDKA:

A woman from Katy, Texas has been booked into the Wichita Co. Jail and charged with Prohibited Substance and Item in Correctional Facility.
According to the arrest warrant, on October 19, 2017, officials with the Office of the Inspector General (OIG) with the Texas Department of Criminal Justice (TDCJ) were notified that an Allred Unit employee found a ‘suspicious bulge’ behind a picture glued to a handmade card.
The James V. Allred Unit is the prison located in Wichita County on FM 369. As the employee removed the photo from the card she found a clear package containing a white powdery substance, according to the affidavit.

Let’s go back to 2007 for some background on this Burkett character who was receiving the meth card.

Burkett was convicted alongside Michael Perry for the murders of Sandra “Sandy” Stotler, 50, Adam Stotler, 16, and Adam’s friend Jeremy Richardson, 18, in October 2001. Perry was put to death in July 2010 while Burkett is serving a life sentence in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice’s Allred Unit in Iowa Park, Texas.
Burkett’s latest appeal was an application for a writ of habeas corpus he filed in January alleging a pathologist who testified about Sandra Stotler’s time of death should not have been able to testify. He also claimed his trial attorney was ineffective.

If this is a case of Sara falling in love with Burkett, this wouldn’t be the first time the murderer has had himself a slam piece on the outside. Way back in 2011, Texas Monthly mentioned Burkett having a love interest outside the walls during a documentary review that featured his co-defendant Perry.
Ladies, you might want to stay away from the guys serving life.
