Meet Romarey Ventura — Girlfriend of Spain Defender Jordi Alba

You don’t need to be a soccer expert to know Spain’s World Cup roster has a million good players on it — one of them being left back Jordi Alba. NBC’s Pro Soccer Talk ranks him as the No. 44 player in the tournament.
Alba, 29, has played for Barcelona for the past six seasons and was a member of the team that was embarrassed at the 2014 WC, so there is a redemption angle here for him and the rest of the Spanish team. Another untimely elimination isn’t likely in Russia, but they do have to at least draw Morocco on Monday to advance to the knockout round. A win would make them Group B winners.
Off the pitch, Alba’s longtime girlfriend is Romarey Ventura. She was a tourism student at the University of Spain and has been dating Alba since 2015. The couple welcomed their first child in January.
