Manchester United/Spain’s David De Gea is seen as one of the best goalkeepers in the world.
De Gea, who led the EPL in clean sheets (18), won the Golden Glove for the 2017-18 season, the first Man U goalie to win the award since 2008. Of course, Spain’s fans don’t really give a damn about his sterling reputation after a spotty performance against Portugal, which was highlighted by this mishap on Cristiano Ronaldo’s second goal:

The keyboard warriors in Spain are mighty pissed at De Gea after his debut effort, but his teammates “have no doubts” about him going forward (via BBC):
“Goalkeeper is a special position, with a special psychology,” said Hierro.
“We have no doubts. Honestly. He doesn’t doubt himself either.
Ronaldo scored from all three of Portugal’s attempts on target, and De Gea was criticised in the Spanish media.
Off the pitch, De Gea is dating Spanish pop star and actress Edurne Garcia. She has been a judge on “Spain’s Got Talent” since 2015 and is just slightly popular on Instagram with 977,000 followers. She took to IG support her man before the dud against the Portugal:
