Mark Teixeira Loves Robinson Cano, But Not Surprised About Positive Test

While Miguel Cabrera insists that his buddy Robinson Cano is a clean player guilty of no wrongdoing, former Yankee Mark Teixeira is a singing a different tune. Teix, who played five seasons with Cano in New York, went on “The Michael Kay Show” Thursday and revealed he isn’t surprised Cano failed a drug test.

“I don’t really want to get into too much detail, I love Robbie, but yeah, I’m not surprised. I don’t really want to go too much further but I think a lot of people are trying to say the same thing. Cash had to catch himself in an interview a couple days ago, but yeah, just not surprised.”

While Teix says he didn’t want to go further, he did explain his reasoning shortly after. He brings up Cano’s assistant being on a Biogenesis list, as well as his best friends on the Yankees (at the time) Alex Rodriguez and Melky Cabrera getting “popped.”
