You shouldn’t be shocked by the merchandise news out of Vegas
Say hello to the new bandwagon team that everyone suddenly loves because they won’t stop winning. The Golden Knights. Now I’m not shocked they’re crushing the rest of the league in merchandise sales. New team, new city, new to the playoffs — everyone wants to wear a winner’s gear.
From the Las Vegas Sun:
The Golden Knights’ post-season run has generated even more sales.
“The Knights have sold more merchandise since the start of the playoffs than they did in the previous two months combined,” Fox said.
The influx has helped keep sales of Vegas merchandise ahead — way ahead — of the other remaining playoff teams — the Winnipeg Jets, Washington Capitals and Tampa Bay Lightning.
“The Knights have sold more merchandise this month than the rest of the remaining playoff teams combined,” Fox said.
The new Yankees of the desert. And they said hockey would never survive in that city. Get ready, the NBA will be there very soon. Don’t be shocked if this summer you start hearing talk about a franchise moving there.
Numbers from :
The Capitals are now 6-1 on the road in this year's playoffs. The most road wins they've ever had in a single postseason is 7 (1997-98). They were 7-3 on the road that postseason when they made their first and only Stanley Cup Final. pic.twitter.com/hcoqKaMX1L
