If you’ve been wondering why we haven’t had many Tebow minor league updates, well it’s because Timmy has had a rough go of it to start the season at double-A. He went yard in the first game of the season after stinking the place up during spring training, but he’s been slumping ever since.
Right now, he’s sitting at a .230 average, which right around where he finished last season. But last year we could count on Timmy to blast a ball to outer space every few weeks just based off his sheer strength. That gave us an opportunity to update you. This season the dongs disappeared, until last night when he finally hit #2 with a little oppo boppo action.
I still think he makes it to the bigs at some point. The Mets just fell out of first place, so who knows what could happen over the next few months. If I know the Mets like I think I know the mets, things could fall apart quickly and we might see Tebow by August/September to get some last minute ticket sales.
