I’ll start this post by saying that if it doesn’t take much for you to get queasy, this isn’t the story for you. Honestly, a disgusting gash wound isn’t what you want before lunch break — don’t tell us we didn’t warn you.

Anyway, English fighter Jack Mason lost his third-straight fight to Hakon Foss at Cage Warriors 93 in Sweden. Mason was thoroughly dominated in the fight and ate a number of blows which included a flying knee before the referee stopped the contest. He was obviously a bloody mess after the fight, and further inspection in the locker room revealed much worse:

The good news is Mason took to Instagram to let everyone know he’s “stitched up and good as new”:

No excuses, training and weight cut was great, felt great mentally and was ready as ever. Had a really great experience the whole week and despite the outcome last night feel blessed to have great people around me who support me through it all.
