Sadly for Giants fans there has been no career resurgence for Pablo Sandoval since rejoining his old team. The Panda is slashing just .237/.310/.395 with one lone home run as a bench player this season, but it appears there might be an interesting avenue for him to take: pitching!
Pablo took the mound during the first game of the Giants’ doubleheader against the Giants Saturday and totally impressed. Just check out the video above and watch Panda pitch a perfect 1-2-3 inning against the likes of Kike Hernandez, Yasmani Grandal, and Chris Taylor. He flashed a Jered Weaver-esque mid-80s fastball and curveball as slow as 69 mph to get the job done.
For real. This guy probably has better stuff than Josh Tomlin:
