Josh Allen’s chances of becoming the Cleveland Browns’ No. 1 pick took a hit last night after some not-so-flattering tweets he sent out while in high school went viral. There was some sexually charged content, but it’s tweets with the N-word that has people up in arms on draft day.

Yeah… with a draft that’s lacking in headlines outside of Baker Mayfield and Josh Rosen, this isn’t what you want splattered all over TV. That being said, Josh went on damage control quickly and called up the first person anyone would dial in his situation: Stephen A. Smith! I mean, who better to explain that you were just quoting Phil from “Modern Family” than Stephen?
The “First Take” star says Josh was “tremendously contrite” and “apologetic” during their 2am phone call, and even sent him clips from the show to explain the, “If it ain’t white, it ain’t right” tweet.

Will the Browns still consider the Wyoming quarterback at No. 1? Will these teenage tweets have Josh freefall? Was this a planned move by a team to have Josh tank? We’ll find out tonight!
