This is actually a pretty funny story. From Page Six:

 
The ordeal began when O’Neal arrived to his empty new apartment in Phoenix after being traded by Miami.
“So 2 or 3 in the morning, I got to go get four or five TVs,” O’Neal explained. “I’ve got to go get printers. I’ve got to go get laptops. I’ve got to go get appliances, sheets, towels, underwear, T-shirts. So at the end, it was $70,000.”
After not one but two denials at checkout — “I know I’m not broke,” O’Neal admitted thinking at the time — he gave up and decided to come back later.
“So then the American Express security called me [and said], ‘Hey man. Somebody stole your credit card and they spent $70,000 at Walmart,’” O’Neal revealed.

He came back later and actually got all of his stuff. Largest purchase in Walmart history according to hm
