Like many, I was not a fan of the New York Mets rewarding Tim Tebow with a promotion to Double-A after his crappy spring training. Didn’t love him as a football player, sure as hell don’t love him a 30-year-old outfield prospect who sucks on defense and has a career .309 OBP.
But for one night, I’ll eat crow as Tim teamed up with the baseball gods to lift the first pitch he saw as a member of the Binghamton Rumble Ponies beyond the outfield wall. See the provided videos for this classic Tim Tebow proves everyone wrong moment:
UPDATE: @TimTebow crushed a three-run homer on the first pitch he saw for @RumblePoniesBB. pic.twitter.com/oOoGewbB5I

He’s gone hitless in the two at bats following the blast, but the damage is done. Tim’s gone deep and all the blog boys and gals have to write about it.
The former collegiate star now has nine home runs in his minor-league career.
Here’s @TimTebow being introduced for the first time as a member of the @RumblePoniesBB, the Mets’ Double-A affiliate. pic.twitter.com/dc4F44FJRX
