Rob Refsnyder Hit the Most Unique Ground Rule Double You'll See All Year

via Indians/Twitter
Productive isn’t exactly the word that comes to mind after looking at Rob Refsnyder’s major-league stats. If anything, the lack of pop (two career home runs) and on-base skills explain why he’s bounced around since debuting with the Yankees in 2015. But that’s enough mudslinging towards Rob, because we’re hear to give him love for doing something we probably won’t see again for a while.
Looking at the main photo, you can probably tell where we’re going here: Rob, now a member of the Indians, somehow drove a baseball directly into that random hole located in the Goodyear Ballpark center field wall. Technically it cleared that 410-foot marker, but sadly it was ruled a ground rule double.

Refsnyder is slashing .209/.327/.395 this spring with two home runs and six RBI. He appears to be in the mix for an outfield spot judging from this tweet by Indians beat writer Jordan Bastian.
