Lainie Fritz, a sports reporter at Channel 2 Houston, caused some commotion this weekend during the Houston Cougars 64-63 tragic loss to Michigan Saturday night on a buzzer-beater that sent the Wolverines to the Sweet 16. That was Ms. Fritz sitting next to Elvin Hayes during the broadcast and a few viewers instantly wanted an “@” on the woman in red.
Yep, that’s Lainie and she seems to have found out that you guys are searching for that “@.”
You can also find herΒ @KPRC2Lainie.
That’s how this works. One minute you’re sitting next to Elvin Hayes, the next minute you’re the hottest search topic on St. Patrick’s Day because there are millions of men in their recliners watching a March Madness game hoping that their bets come in and that their brackets live to see another day.
The tragic news here is that Lainie’s Big Dance with the Cougars is over.

Two things about this photo:
1) Elvin Hayes is one of the best basketball players of all-time, is 72 years old and looks a lot closer to 52.
2) Who is sitting next to Elvin Hayes??? π#Houston #Michigan #MarchMadness #NCAATourney pic.twitter.com/A74vAJmlyb
