Warriors Cancel Practice After Steph Curry’s 30th Birthday Bash

Clearly taking back the one seed from the Rockets isn’t the highest of priorities for the Warriors, because they’re out here cancelling a practice due to the entire roster getting turnt at Stephen Curry’s 30th birthday bash.

The Mercury News’ Mark Medina is spinning this as a rest day after the team played three games in four nights:

Warriors scheduled to have practice today. Now will have the day off. Recharging Monday & Tuesday after playing three games in four days, including a home-to-road back to back

But The Athletics’s Anthony Slater knows the real reason here:

Warriors just announced they canceled practice today. Everyone in recovery mode after Curry's 30th.

Once again Steve Kerr establishes himself as the ultimate players’ coach. For real. Find me another coach who is going to let the players coach themselves, or cancel a workday because the star player’s party was too lit? You can’t.

The highlights from the Curry surprise party…

Curry pulls up in a goddamn yacht — really the first sign there would be no practice today:

China Klay makes an appearance:

Looks like China Klay made a surprise appearance at Steph’s bday party as well. Salute!
