Report: 2 Jaguars Fans Banned Indefinitely For Throwing Trash at Quinton Jefferson

A friendly tip to new Jaguars fans who plan on attending games at EverBank Field next season: don’t throw garbage at the players. This shouldn’t have to be stated but there was nearly an NFL version of the Malice in the Palace last December when Jags fans hurled a variety of things at Seahawks defensive lineman Quinton Jefferson after a chippy game.

According to The Florida Times-Union, two of those four trashy fans have been hit with indefinite bans for their roles in the incident:

“It was concluded that four individuals threw objects onto the field,” the report stated. “Based on available video evidence, we were able to positively identify two of these individuals. All four individuals had relocated to a seat near the field wall toward the end of the game.”

Of the two identified fans, the Jaguars’ statement read: “These two individuals have since received notice that due to the severity of the violation of the Fan Code of Conduct, they are banned indefinitely.”

Jefferson was not suspended for attempting to scale a wall to confront fans, but was hit with a fine over $9,000.
