Austria’s Julia Dujmovits will be one of the names to watch next week when the Parallel Giant Slalom event gets going. She has won silver medals in this event at World Finals in 2013 and 2015, as well as a gold medal for parallel slalom at the Sochi Winter Olympics.

It’s worth noting the International Olympic Committee removed the parallel slalom event after the 2014 Olympic games, so Julia is the only woman to own gold in that event.

Additional notes on the Austrian gold medalist:

– Debuted at the World Cup in 2003
– She’s also an avid surfer
– She’s been posting “Road to Pyeongchang” hype videos on her Instagram page

– Julia’s Olympic bio notes she was almost caught in the Kaprun train disaster that killed 155 people in 2000
