87-Year-Old Eagles Fan Frank Slams Bottle Of Champagne He Had In The Fridge Since 1980

Frank bought this bottle of champagne all the way back in 1980 when the Eagles played the Raiders in the Super Bowl. Of course Jaws and the Eagles lost that game 27-10. Or did he buy it in 1981 when the game was played on January 25? Hell, it doesn’t matter. What matters here is that Frank kept that bottle in his fridge all that time with dreams of one day popping it open to taste victory.
That bottle, as you can see, was cracked open last night during the victory celebration.
Frank was about 50 back in the day when he bought that bottle. Think about how those days must’ve been for Frank. Bought that bottle just sure as shitt that the Eagles were going to win and he would finally become a Super Bowl champion fan.
Now Frank’s sucking down success.
The Delaware News caught up to Frank last week as he was getting ready to suck on that bottle.

“My prediction is 40-13,” Markert said. “We’re going to whomp them this time.”

He said he believes in quarterback Nick Foles, and always has.

Markert, who came from a large family, spent 20 years in the Navy and about 20 years working for General Foods in Dover before it eventually became Kraft. His Philadelphia highlights include attending the first and last games at Veterans Stadium. (“What other city in the country had a courtroom set up in the basement?”) He even used to take bus trips from General Foods up to Philadelphia to watch Eagles games.

That horrible champagne must’ve tasted so good. The best he’s ever had. Like the best house party you’ve ever been to in your life with the hottest women whom you didn’t think existed and your team just won a huge game good.
Good for Frank.
