Funeral Status: The Clippers Selfie Banners Have Been Covered By Black Curtains

It appears that the Clippers held an unofficial funeral at Staples Center last night by covering up their player portraits (which cover Lakers banners) with a black curtain. The reasoning behind it, of course, is a simple one: franchise savior Blake Griffin is gone to brave the cold in Detroit. All the other players who have banners — Patrick Beverley, DeAndre Jordan, Lou Williams, Milos Teodosic, Austin Rivers, and Danilo Gallinari — are still on the team, but they were blacked out as well:

Perhaps the Clippers should keep them blacked out until the NBA trade deadline passes. With DeAndre and Lou constantly being floated in trade rumors, it’s probably best to see who survives Jerry West’s purging of the team.
