Florida State quarterback Deondre Francois is under investigation by Tallahassee Police for an alleged domestic violence incident that occurred in his home Tuesday evening. According to the Tallahassee Democrat, no arrests have been made as Francois and the woman involved, who says she’s pregnant with his kid, gave conflicting statements to what happened.
In Francois’ story, he claims he was hanging with a friend when the woman rolled by and started breaking things in his place. He adds that he hugged the woman to stop her from causing more damage — additional details from the report:

Francois, who called police, said he and a friend were hanging when the woman showed up, started to break things inside the house and tried to rip a TV off the wall during the argument.

Francois said he grabbed the woman in a hug in an attempt to keep her from breaking items in the apartment and the cut on her arm came from a vase she’d broken during the fight. He said the woman had told him she was pregnant but had not provided paperwork to prove it.

The woman’s version is much different, as she says he Francois got angry when his friend started talking to her, which eventually led to a physical altercation in which she suffered a cut after being thrown to the ground. She also mentioned to police he had smoked marijuana but didn’t want him “to get in trouble.”
Francois only played in one game his sophomore season after suffering a major knee injury in the opening game against Alabama.
