Woj: Cavs Players Take Aim At Kevin Love’s Illness During “Emotional” Team Meeting

Despite their troubles and general drama, no one doubts the Cavaliers will be a factor in the postseason. That being said, it’s a total dumpster fire right now — random Ty Lue hot seat rumors, LeBron reportedly not wanting to deal Kyrie, the unsightly defense that just gave up 148. The list could go on forever, and ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski piled on Monday night reporting about a team meeting where players questioned Kevin Love’s illness over the weekend:

The Cleveland Cavaliers held an emotional team meeting prior to Monday’s practice, where several players challenged the legitimacy of Kevin Love leaving OKC loss on Saturday ill and missing Sunday’s practice, league sources tell ESPN.

To recap, K-Love only played three minutes when the Thunder killed the Cavs because he wasn’t feeling well. He also didn’t practice on Sunday so it seemed like a legit ailment, but some players clearly didn’t see it that way.

Woj goes on to say that K-Love defended himself and issues were worked out. Maybe.

In a locker room increasingly full of finger-pointing, Love defended himself and explained his side to teammates, coaches and management, sources said. At end of meeting, there was a sense with some that team had worked out some issues, but that ultimately remains to be seen.

Sidenote: If you want to buy low on the Cavs they are even money to win the East Finals on Bovada. Can’t get much worse, right? Plus all the sources say they want George Hill, DeAndre Jordan, and Lou Williams.
