Here’s a story people love every year
How much is a 30-second Super Bowl ad this year? I don’t know what it is, but people LOVE to talk about how expensive SB ad slots are. Last year, I think it was somewhere in the $4 million range for 30 seconds. This year, if you can believe it, the price went up yet again:
NY Post:
Dan Lovinger, executive VP of ad sales for NBC Sports Group, said the record proceeds would be driven by the $5 million price tag for a 30-second ad — and strong ad demand for lead-out program “This Is Us.”
The day’s take is expected to be around $500 million, Lovinger said during a conference call on Thursday.
Yep, that will be a record for ad sales in one day. And next year, I’m guessing that record will get broken again.
