We have a major ‘stay classy’ situation on our hands this morning and it comes by way of Tom Herman and the Texas Longhorns after they locked up their Texas Bowl win against Missouri last night.
I’ll start with a little backstory. Earlier in the game, while Texas was cruising up 21-7, Missouri QB Drew Lock tossed this Dilfer Dime to get Mizzou back in the game and did this little dance afterward:

I’ve yet to figure out what it is or what it means, but that’s beside the point. These kids and their dances these days, am I right?
So, Tom Herman and Texas sideline obviously saw this dance because he did directly at them. It seems they took it as disrespect because after Texas punted their way to a victory, cameras caught Herman and Texas sideline doing this:

And now we have Mizzou fans yelling “STAY CLASSY”, Texas fans saying it’s revenge for Mizzou doing the “Horns Down” and journalists telling Tom Herman to grow up. It’s a shit show, but that’s bowl season, people. Jobs are on the line, emotions are running high and some adults may mock some college kids. Take it or leave it.
By the way, Texas’ punter won the MVP of the Texas Bowl… he deserved it
